Commission an illustration

Game, anime, and manga-inspired art is my speciality, but I also draw realistic portraits of loved ones — people and animals. Choose from five tiers, from a quick sketch to a detailed A3 graphite portrait. Prices will vary based on further instructions, level of details, and more. Changes also adds to the price.

My strongest media are graphite, colored pencils, ink, and markers. I also love working with aquarelle (watercolor), where my skill level is intermediate. I don't work in oil or acrylic and don't offer commissions in those media.

I draw in my own style. It is not perfect, and that is part of the charm. I take your wishes on board (character, pose, mood, palette), but the artistic voice is mine. Browse the gallery first — if you like what you see, we'll get along.

Sketch

A clean ink sketch. One character, no colour, no background. Great for quick portraits, character busts, or gifts that feel personal without breaking the bank.

Colour sketch

An ink sketch with colour added using pencils and/or alcohol markers. Simple background or none. More life, still fast.

Realistic portrait

A fully realistic graphite portrait of a loved one — human or animal. Slow, deliberate, and highly detailed. This is the full-commitment tier.

Process

How it works — and when to ask for changes

Changes get more expensive the later they come. A sketch edit takes five minutes; the same change after rendering can mean redoing hours of work.

    Enquiry & agreement

    Send your brief. I'll confirm I can take it on and agree on scope and price. I invoice 50% deposit — work starts when it's received.

    Changes here: free — nothing is drawn yet.
  2. 2

    Sketch

    I send a rough sketch — composition, pose, proportions. Best opportunity to request changes. Two rounds included.

    Changes here: included & easy — just lines on paper.
  3. 3

    Inks & colour

    I move into line art and colouring. Minor tweaks still manageable — structural changes mean starting a section over.

    Changes here: minor tweaks included, structural changes quoted separately (typically 300–800 NOK).
  4. 4

    Final render

    Shading, lighting, final polish. One round of minor tweaks included. Major rework is outside scope.

  5. 5

    Delivery & final payment

    You approve the piece. I invoice the remaining 50% and deliver high-res files on payment. You own it for personal use.

FAQ

Do I have to pay upfront?

Yes — 50% of the agreed total before I start drawing. The remaining 50% is invoiced when you approve the final piece, before I deliver the files. This protects both of us. For very large pieces we could discuss more smaller payments at different stages of the painting process.

How many revisions do I get?

Two rounds of changes at sketch stage (included), one round of minor tweaks at final render (included). As I do not draw digital, what to expect in forms of changes for each stage may vary a lot. I can perform a lot of tricks to accommodate changes, but there are limitations. Each change will usually add clutter, artifacts, tear the paper, and more, so try and forsee your edits as early as possible. The earlier you raise a change the easier — and cheaper — it is. Complicated or too many changes requires additional fees.

Can you draw in Marvel / Disney / anime style?

Yes, but I am not working for these companies so the style will resemble, not be exact. I draw in my own style. I can't replicate another studio's or artist's aesthetic. Browse the gallery — if you like what you see, you'll like the result.

Can I commission fanart?

Yes, for personal use. Characters from games, anime, movies — all fine. I won't take on commercial use of licensed characters.

Who owns the artwork?

I own the copyright to the artwork. But you own, for personal use, the original. Commercial use (merch, advertising, resale) requires a separate licence, contact me for details. I retain the right to show the piece in my portfolio. I do not sell prints of commissioned work, unless agreed upon beforehand.

How long does it take?

Tier 1–2: typically 1–2 weeks. Tier 3: 2–4 weeks. Tier 4: 4–8 weeks. Tier 5: 8–16 weeks depending on queue. Rush delivery adds 50% to the price.

Will you draw NSFW content?

No.
