Story behind the artwork
Already in. 1997 before this game came out I drew almost all the characters. But not Nanaki. Basically because when the game came I started building what became Scandinavia's largest Final Fantasy fan-web, still alive today - ffuniverse.nu So revisting this theme and finally getting to draw Nanaki felt very good. The reference was artwork for the remake, with deliberaty focus on his face, to capture his amazing range of emotions.
