Fantasian OST Fanart
About the artwork
Fan artwork inspired by the Fantasian game soundtrack, combining several traditional media. The full artwork includes an orange passe-partout painted in watercolor, the size of that is A4. The drawing itself contains a thin white border with the drawing attached in the middle.
Story behind the artwork
Created in 2022 as a tribute to Fantasian and its music, the piece brings together inks, graphite, and watercolor. The main object here, the female, is drawn using only graphite, with black ink for lines and dark values, with white ink for highlights. I began the drawing by adding a soft yellow-gray base on the entire paper using water color. Afterwards the female was drawn. I added the rain last using thick white paint and a brush. The orange sourrounding frame is actually sturdy water color paper with the orange color added. The different layers are attached together. I revisited this artwork in 2023 as the original frame was just think orange paper, and it was taped with bad quality that made the paper wringled. This all was fixed in 2023 by cutting out the center piece, and then redo all the borders.
